    How do I book a strategy call?

    Use the form at the bottom of any page on pookybooks.com. You'll get a Calendly link within 5 minutes during business hours, or first thing the next morning if you book overnight.

    What happens on the strategy call?

    30 minutes. We ask about your idea, audience, and goals. You ask about our process, pricing, and timeline. By the end you'll know whether we're the right fit — and we'll tell you honestly if we're not.

    How quickly can I start?

    Most engagements kick off within 2 weeks of signing. Rush tracks are available for an additional fee.

    Where do I see my project status?

    Every client gets a Notion project hub with chapter-by-chapter status, scheduled calls, deliverables, and invoices. You'll get the link within 24 hours of signing.

  • Feedback

    How do I give feedback?

    Each deliverable has a 5-business-day review window. Feedback is submitted inline in the Notion hub or directly in the manuscript doc. Late feedback slips the timeline by an equivalent amount.

  • Scope

    Can I change my mind about something?

    Yes — most mid-project changes are normal. Out-of-scope requests (adding a chapter, repositioning the book, changing the cover direction) are quoted separately before work begins on them.

    How does payment work?

    Fixed-fee per Statement of Work. Invoiced in three installments — 40% on signing, 40% at the draft milestone, 20% on final delivery. Net-15 on all invoices.

  • Methods

    What payment methods do you accept?

    Wire transfer (US, UK, EU), ACH (US), credit card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), and PayPal. Crypto on request for engagements above $25k.

  • Refunds

    Do you offer refunds?

    Yes. If we cancel for any reason, you get 100% back. If you cancel before drafting begins, 80%. After drafting starts, fees are non-refundable but you keep all completed work. Full terms in our Terms of Service.
